Monday Night Games

And no, I'm not ready for some football. I plan to spend some time in THIS world tonight.

That and it's Monday, so we all know now that that means Ultimate Wussy 2 night and the Chuck review to follow! Other than that I think I have about 15 audio CD's that I need to burn to back up my TabletPC. I buy stuff on iTunes but then I don't want DRM on it, so I go and burn them to plain old audio CD's. That way I have my "legal backup" and if I want to mp3 them I can do so from there.

My poor tablet's been what I've done a lot of developing on the past five months in java, and I must say it's beginning to creeeeeeep to a sloooooooow haaaaalt with every possible java tool that's been run through it. My tablet wants its clean XP Pro OS and Visual Studio .NET 2k3 and SQL Server 2k5 back on it. It's jealous since it's had to share beds with Eclipse and has protested by creeping down to a halt and making me use my other laptop to game and do my 3D graphics stuff with.

    Chuck's $0.02 on UF2:
Thank you for a great fight - best one of this season. Sam went for it. Jumping over Luke (or trying to) when Luke was on the ground was dangerous, but Sam wasn't playing it safe. I personally wish there had been an extra 30 seconds in the first round - I think Luke was saved by the bell and if it had gone on I think he would've tapped. Sam was a little reckless, but was impressive in getting out of trouble on the ground. It was a good pairing. I personally think Sam is the better fighter, but Luke is more patient and is better at recovering. In the second round Sam rocked Luke first, but Luke recovered. A little later when Luke rocked Sam he did a better job of taking advantage of it and worked in a great knee when they were in plam. This fight showed just how dangerous a weapon the knees are - it didn't look like that hard of a strike, but it laid Sam out flat for a while. Anyway, Luke earned the win, but Sam is a heck of a fighter and I thank him for setting the pace and making this an exciting fight to watch.

I definitely thought we finally had a decent fight here too. As much as I don't want to like Luke (he's a little too seaweed chi-head flakey to me), he is a heck of a fighter. It was great to see Sam fight hard as well though. They both deserve a place in the ring, moreso than some of the ones that came before them on UF2 this season, I must say.
