Wii Have Liftoff!

I am so so so so so excited -- Chuck found us a Wii today at a Target in Phoenix! :)

I showed him the site WiiHunt and he actually found a Target today near his work that had two in stock! Rather than do the "I'm going to hoard two and sell one on Ebay" that the rest of the planet's been doing lately, we left the second Wii at Target so someone else like me can get one.

He also picked up Zelda too, so after work I'm getting one extra wiimote (for Wii Sports head to head of course!) and another nunchuck and it's going to be a WiiNight!

Other than my giddiness about FINALLY getting a Wii, it's mostly been busy here in Arizona. Springtime here means festivals, and LOTS of them. Two weeks ago it was the Matsuri Japanese Festival, next weekend it's the Aloha Festival, and hopefully the weekend after that we'll make it out to the Renaissance Faire. Also get to see the World Famous Lipizzaner Stallions perform this Sunday evening -- that's going to be breathtaking.

Hi Ikia! Long time no talk! I'll drop you an email, thx for the address :)

Shadoe - definitely! I'll post Ren Faire and Aloha Festival pics some time this weekend. We'll have a place for you to stay if you come down next year, we're buying a killer house in a few weeks :)

Sorry I am so late to post back. But here is the directions I found for finding your Wii ID, adding friends and getting your Mii's to travel.

Ok, I thought I would make a thread to get the Mii juices flowing. If we all begin to share our Wii ID codes we can have a Gamersreports.com Mii Community!

Here's how to find your Wii ID:

From the main channel viewer, select message board in the lower right
Then, in the lower left, select create message
Then, select Address Book. Here is where you will find your Wii ID

To add another Wii's ID into your address book:

Follow the same procedures, then select register
From there you will be prompted to enter the Wii ID, and the person's nickname.

To get your Mii's to travel between consoles do the following:

    Select Mii Channel
Then, in the upper right, Mii parade
Then, 2nd icon on the right, is Travel Settings, select "Travel"

Keep in mind, each user must enter the other user's Wii ID for message/Mii exchanges to me made. Also, this process does take about 15 minutes to replicate on each Wii system.

I'm finally part of the Wii community. We picked one up this past weekend at Costco of all places.

Woohoo! Which games do you have? So far I just have the WiiSports, Zelda, and FarCry.

Most of the game time comes from WiiSports hehe.

It came with the Sports and Mario Party 8. How is Zelda? Can more than one person play at a time? I hear good things about Tiger Woods Golf.

Zelda's a blast but it is single player. The game seems really huge though, I've only played it around 2 or so hours and I'm barely into the beginning of it.

Is Super Mario Party 8 fun? I think that one's on my "must have" list :)

Yeah it's a lot of fun, because it's multi player. You can play teams and what not. Vicky and I play at least one game every night.
