Day One - Combat Conditioning

Got up at 6:30am this morning. Actually got up at 6am because my back pain was yelping at me and wouldn't let me sleep any more. Stretched and used a gel pack for a few minutes before doing Matt Furey's core exercises and then Chuck made me egg whites scrambled with cheese and salsa. YUM! Raw baby carrots, raw spinach, and a plum are the snacks for today.

Lunch was chili & rice. Dinner's pork chops and brussel sprouts. So far not bad for a first day. Although I think hindu squats and hindu pushups are in the picture before I can have dinner tonight *wince*.

Got GTA:SA in the mail yesterday from my eBay win. Totally fun game. Completely different gameplay style than what I normally play but it definitely made it fun. Although I am SO needing the strat guide already; I just don't make a good gangster quite yet, lol!

Do you have the book or the DVD for that?

I think Chuck's got both. In fact I know he's got the Combat Conditioning book because I see it on our book rack, and I'm pretty sure he has the magnificent 7 (Combat Abs) DVD. Call me!

Chuck's review of Matt Furey's stuff:
First recognize that the exercises he's giving you are nothing new, in fact most of them are hundreds of years old. That being said, they are excellent combinations and do work. I like the books, I have Combat Conditioning and Combat Abs.

I also have a submission escape video - a total waste of money for submission wrestlers. It is very poor production quality and covers escapes that would only come from fighters who have little or no training.

I do have the DVD series on Combat Stretching - it is low quality production (better than the submission escape video) but does have good info.

I also have the Underground Guide to Warrior Fitness from Ross Enamait. It is another book on bodyweight exercise. It is a little more hard core than Matt Furey's books, but they overlap quite a bit.

Ed - you're welcome to borrow any of all of them.
