Million Dollar Baby Countdown

It has been 32 days since "Million Dollar Baby" was released in Tulsa. I still have not seen it. Thought I'd start a count of how many more days until I finally get out to actually SEE this flick!

Oh by the way, some guy is proposing that theaters give up TWO start times instead of just the one. The first start time would be for when the stupid 8 million commercials and trailers start, and the second start time is for when the actual movie starts. Hear hear. Gone are the days where there were 7 minutes of trailers and that was IT. Heck, a single trailer runs 7 minutes now. Here's the link if you didn't catch that it was embedded in the paragraph (*snickers*) LINK!

Thank gawd this guy is not in advertising.....some move previews can take up to 25 minutes before the actual movie starts. Some people come to see the movie only - others, however, enjoy the preamble before the feature attraction. On the day it was released, some film fans paid the full price of admission just to watch the preview for the upcoming "Star Wars" installment, "The Phantom Menace." Then, they left.

Both theaters and studios benefit from free movie advertising. As part of a pact between theaters and the Motion Picture Association of America, most trailers may not exceed two and a half minutes, with one exception a year made for each studio.

This I will be seeing soon and not at a theather near you.
