So -- American Idol decision tonight -- what do you think? Do you care? I'm rooting for Diana just because I'm tired of the same old same old "I can hit 50 notes in 2 seconds" singers. I want to not like Fantasia but I find myself grinning when I watch her on TV anyways, her bubbly personality is pretty contagious. I think they should change American Idol voting so that you vote to ELIMINATE a person every week, kinda like voting them off the island on Survivor. There's been some controversy about it being called "Ethnic Idol" and "African American Idol", and I must say that I do see it to some extent. I don't think necessarily it *should* always go to the same "I can hit 50 notes in 2 seconds" types. It should go to the one that has the most personality, the one that can be an "icon" of sorts, instead of the "choose a horse and bet heavily on him" mentality that the voting seems to be. Oh well. Just my $0.02.
