Weekend Pics

Had some fun this weekend not having gigs lined up. Cruised Tulsa on Saturday in the 103 degree sticky heat and Chuck took some fantastic pics for family back home. Here's some:

Other than that, watched Fat Albert on DVD, HEY HEY HEY, and ran Deadmines and The Stockades dungeons in WoW. Can't believe I spent 4 hrs running Deadmines 2x only to end without freakin' Van Cleef's head. That Staff of Westfall will never be mine! *mutters disgustedly* We also made the most killer spaghetti sauce ever. YUM.

In regex land today, trying to figure out what user input validation schemes I'm going to build with it into our struts validation.xml file. But I wax geek again, so I'll quit. ;-)

Flowers!

Some GORGEOUS flowers just mysteriously appeared at my desk today celebrating my first week at the new job. It doesn't get more thoughtful than that. Thanks, sweetheart, you're the best! I'll post a pic of the arrangement this weekend so everyone else can go "Awwwwww" with the rest of the office. ;-)

Unky Moods

Hey, what happened to UnkyMoods.com? I'm moodless! Noooooooooooo! *wails in mock horror*

Friday Finally!

Man it's rough going back to work after cruising on vaca for two weeks. Especially starting a new job and studying like it was going out of style. Oh well. I'm getting caught up and with the weekend off, I should be up to speed by Monday morning (ha ha). This job rocks. LOVE it. Knowing that you can make a kiosk at Narita Airport in Tokyo do whatever you want from a web console is a total blast.

Plans for the weekend? Study. Sleep. Get pics taken of me -- Chuck's wanting to play with some portrait photography with his camera. Think I'll throw in some movies, shopping and some World of Warcraft time in there and I'll be a happy camper. :)

Oh, yeah. Micro$oft's naming the Longhorn OS "Windows Vista". Groan. I heard enough of the word Vista working for Lufthansa; Vista was their crappy manufacturing software made by an equally crappy company called Epicor. Bluch!

Doom -- The Movie?

Whoa, check this out! Doom - The Movie is apparently in the works. I had no idea!

Wonder if it'll be any good? I haven't seen FanFour yet but it's just because I've been busy. I'd like to catch that this weekend.

I wonder if PSP will ever come out with any more games? *grumble* It's disappointing to find myself going back to my GBA games like Final Fantasy I & II for fun/playability.

Soylent Green

IS PEOPLE!

It's official. My brain is fried from code.

Code code code

I didn't get to post yesterday because I was in code land. The new job is a bit trial-by-fire, so with deadlines on the kiosks I'll have to do homework at night studying. Biggest stuff I think I need to be knowing right now are the JMX (java managed extensions), struts, and the configs/paths of the servlets moving through the app. Anyway, not to bore anyone. :)

Anyone seen Charlie & the Chocolate Factory yet? I must say that's one of the best movies I've ever seen. Completely magical, fantastic special effects, colors, sounds, definitely a must-see on IMAX. The blend of CGI and photography were outstanding.

Hope hump day's going good for everyone, I just snuck in this post so I've gotta get back to work. Back to Eclipse 3.1m workspace... over & out. :)

I'm Aliiiiiiivvvvvvvve!!!!

Sorry my blog hasn't been updated in over a month -- ack! Usually that means I've been insanely busy, as I'm sure you know. :) Here's a pictorial run-down of the last month.

I quit this:

I got this instead: It comes with a lot more money than and a lot more fun. I'm writing code for touch-screen kiosks that do e-ticketing and baggage check-in for airports worldwide! Some really fun and cutting edge technology and I get every other Friday off -- woohoo!

I'm still doing this:

I took two weeks of vacation in between jobs and did all of this:

Another reason I haven't been blogging frequently is this:

Man, are MMORPG's my downfall!

Oh yeah, and this died, so I got a new one of these
. Using WiFiFoFum to wardrive, and it's tooooo sweet!

Some of the new technology I get to play with: JMX, Groovy, JSTL, Tomcat, Hibernate, and of course .NET stuff thrown along in there for good measure. And the new job is, get this... ACROSS THE STREET from my house. w00t!

I hereby promise more frequent updates, although they'll most likely be evening updates these days, as the new job's keeping me pretty busy. Stay cool!
